Guard Your Pet’s Heart: Why Prevention Just Makes Sense

The heartworm parasite presents a serious and sometimes fatal threat to companion animals. Unfortunately, it is not difficult for your pet to be infected, and it’s difficult to treat in dogs. There is no heartworm treatment for cats.

Heartworm is a serious, potentially fatal disease in pets. Spread by mosquitos, heartworm is exactly what it sounds like — worms in an animal’s heart and lungs. If you were lucky enough to get into Dr. Orville Krause’s career day presentation at Armada Middle School back in the day, you’ve likely seen a jar containing a heartworm-infected heart. Ruff Run 5K Fun Run/Walk with your dog

Please join Krause Veterinary Clinic in the first annual Ruff Run to benefit our Angel's fund. This fund is designed to help clients in need of getting their pets the proper medical care. We invite you to bring your dog to join in the fun all we ask is that your dog be vaccinated with the Distemper, Bordetella and Rabies vaccines. If your canine companion is dog aggressive please leave them at home this time. Sorry we need to keep everyone safe. We will supply a t-shirt and snacks. So come join KVC for a day of fun in the sun.
